Connect Google
Docs works on your own Google account, from this computer. Nothing goes through PriorStates. Two steps, once.
1 Β· Your OAuth client
Google needs to know which program is asking. Until this app is verified by Google, you create that identity yourself; it takes about five minutes.
- Open console.cloud.google.com and create a project (any name).
- APIs & Services β Library: enable Google Docs API and Google Drive API.
- APIs & Services β OAuth consent screen: External, fill in the name and your email, add yourself under Test users.
- APIs & Services β Credentials β Create credentials β OAuth client ID β type Desktop app.
- Paste the client id and secret here.
2 Β· Sign in
Google will show a warning that the app is unverified β it is your own client, on your own project; choose Continue. Docs asks to read and edit your documents and their comments.

Chrome side panel
Docs can sit in Chrome's side panel beside the document's own tab. The panel is Desk's: open Desk and follow In Chrome. Once it is on, open a Google Doc and click the Desk icon. To bring text from the document into a question there: select it, copy it (βC / Ctrl+C), then press Use selection beside Ask.
An app update replaces the folder in place; press Reload on the extension's card in
chrome://extensions afterwards. The extension's options hold the hub's Desk port (8898 unless changed).
Which document?
Paste the link of a Google Doc you can edit. It opens beside this window, with the assistant here.
