Version 1 · 30 October 2026 · for public pages at <name>.palmtop.page, published from PriorStates Studio
These terms are an agreement between you and PriorStates, New Jersey, USA (“PriorStates”, “we”, “us”). They cover public pages: the one-page sites you publish from PriorStates Studio at an address such as yourname.palmtop.page (“your page”). The rest of Studio, which keeps your apps and data on your own devices, needs no agreement. Our privacy policy says what we collect and why.
You accept these terms when you tap “Agree and publish” in Studio. If you publish for a business or another organisation, you accept them for it as well, and you confirm you may do so. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough where you live to make this agreement, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
You keep every right you have in what you publish: your words, photos, logos and design. We claim no ownership.
So that we can run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display your page, and to serve it to anyone who opens its address. “Process” includes the changes our server makes to every page: removing scripts, forms and outside content, and adding our footer with “Made with PriorStates Studio” and “Report this page”. If you let search engines list your page, the licence also covers letting them read it.
The licence lasts while your page is published. It ends when you unpublish, except for copies our systems take a short time to clear, and anything we must keep to deal with a report, a legal claim or the law. We won’t sell your page or use it in our advertising without asking you first.
Your page must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: no phishing, no impersonation, no asking for passwords or payment details, nothing illegal or infringing, no adult content, no malware, no spam, and no harassment.
Appeals. If you think we got it wrong, write to service@priorstates.com with your page’s address. A person will look at it again and reply.
We respond to notices of copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
To report a page that copies your work, send a notice to our designated agent with:
Designated agent: Copyright Agent, PriorStates, email service@priorstates.com (subject “Copyright notice”).
When we receive a complete notice, we remove or hide the material and tell the page’s owner.
Counter-notice. If your page was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, send our agent a counter-notice with:
We forward the counter-notice to the person who complained. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we restore the page within 10 to 14 business days after we received the counter-notice.
Notices and counter-notices that knowingly misrepresent something can make the sender liable for damages. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. Trademark complaints go to service@priorstates.com.
Public pages are free today. We may change the service, its features and its limits (for example the page size, or the number of pages per account). We may also stop offering it. If we stop the service, or make a change that takes away something you rely on, we will tell you at least 30 days ahead by email and on our website, unless security or the law requires faster action. Your app keeps your page’s content on your device, so you can keep it or publish it elsewhere.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors, that search engines will list your page, or that a name will stay available to you after you give it up. As far as the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
As far as the law allows, PriorStates is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from the service or these terms. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to US$100. Some places don’t allow these limits; where they don’t, they apply only as far as allowed. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
You can unpublish your page at any time in the app; it is gone at once. To delete your account and everything it published, write to service@priorstates.com. We may end these terms for an account under section 5. Sections 2 (for copies we may keep), 3, 8, 9 and 12 continue after the agreement ends.
When we change these terms, we publish a new version on this page with a new number and date. The next time you publish or rename your page, Studio shows “Our terms have changed” and asks you to accept the new version. Until you accept, your page stays up as it is, but you can’t update or rename it. If you don’t agree, you can unpublish. We may also email you about important changes.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term at once, we haven’t given it up. These terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the privacy policy are the whole agreement about public pages.
