Who builds
Gemini on this phone
Get a free key at Google AI Studio, paste it here, tap Save. This phone then builds apps by itself. The key stays on this phone. Flash-Lite is the default: the free tier allows it many more requests per minute than the full Flash models.
The coding agent on my computer
Stronger builds, and your apps are kept in git on the computer. It uses a coding agent you already have there — Claude Code or Codex, on your own subscription. Install Palmtop Hub (macOS, Windows, Linux), press Start then Pair a phone, and scan the QR with your camera — or paste the link here.
Alerts from your servers
Your computer sleeps; the machines that know something is wrong do not. Turn this on and a production server, a cron job or your monitoring can put an alert on this phone without being paired with anything. Each server is added with a short code that works once, gets a credential of its own, and can be taken away here — and all it can ever do is add an alert: it cannot read this board back and it cannot reach your computer.
On that machine, install Palmtop Link and run this. The code works once, for half an hour.
Usage counts
Once a day Palmtop tells priorstates.com "opened today", with the kind of device and the version. No identifier, nothing about your apps, your data or you.
Appearance
Palmtop is dark unless you say otherwise. System follows your phone.
On a computer Palmtop can stay a phone-shaped column, or use the whole window with the tabs down the left. Automatic picks by how wide the window is.
Your copies
A backup carries the private halves of things other people rely on — the board your servers send alerts to, the inbox your shared apps send orders to. That is what makes it worth having if you lose the phone, and why the file itself should be kept somewhere only you can read.
Git
Your mini-apps are committed to a repository on your computer by the hub. Push after building; pull what another device committed.
Share
Send a mini-app to anyone as a link — it is encrypted on this phone and only the link holds the key — or as a file. They open it in Palmtop and it installs after a confirmation.
