Use apps

The Gallery

The Gallery has 67 ready-made apps, grouped by what they are for: money, selling and small business, home and family, health and habits, learning, groups and events, and work. Every one is free and works without AI.

1. Open Studio on your phone, on the web or on your computer.
2. Tap Gallery, or open the Find an App tile on your apps screen.
3. Browse the groups, or Popular this week, and tap Add on the app you want. Studio shows what the app is and what it may use before it adds it.

The app is now on your apps screen. Open it and use it. Each app is kept apart from the others: it sees only its own data, unless you tap Allow when it asks to read another app (Payments reading your Shop orders, for example).

Try an app first

Not sure an app is right? Tap Try on its card in Find an App. It opens with example data, so you can tap around. Nothing you do there is kept, and it uses no AI and sets no reminders.

You can also try most apps from this site, with nothing installed: each app page has a Try it with example data link.

Find an App: say what you need

Don't know what the app would be called? Type the need in your own words in Find an App, for example "split the cost of a ski trip with friends" or "take orders for my bakery". It shows up to three apps that fit, and says why. This step uses the AI.

If nothing fits, tap Make it instead and Studio makes a new app from your words.

Spaces

Spaces are pages of apps, such as Home, Work or your café. Swipe left or right on the apps screen to move between them.

Add a space

Tap Spaces → + Add space, then choose:

• Create an empty space, and fill it from the Gallery or by holding an app and choosing its spaces.
• Use a ready-made space. PriorStates picked the apps for each, in three sections:
  • You and your family: Personal starter, Home & family, Household money, Investing, Health & habits, Parents & school, Student, Side hustle and Hobbies.
  • Groups and work: Clubs & groups, Class & alumni, Job search and At work.
  • Your business: Café, Salon & services, Tutor, Contractor, School office and Farm & market.
  You see the apps before anything is added. Start this space adds the ones you don't have yet.

Arrange, hide and reset

• Arrange spaces changes their order; swiping follows the same order.
• Hold an app to choose which spaces show it. An app can be in several spaces and still have one set of data.
• Space settings → Reset this space puts back the apps PriorStates picked. A backup is kept for 30 days, and Undo reset brings your version back.
• Deleting a space keeps its apps if another space shows them. The others go to Recently deleted for 30 days, with their data.
