What it does
What you see is the PDF
The preview is the printed pages, with a live page count. Save as PDF prints exactly those pages. Click anywhere on a page to jump to that line.
Every version kept
Save a version whenever you like; each AI edit you accept is saved as its own. Compare any version with the current one and restore it in one click.
AI that asks, not invents
Review, tighten, proofread, cut a page, or tailor to a job description. Edits come back as a diff you apply or discard, checked against the career facts you give it.
One per job
Keep several resumes and cover letters, duplicate one for each application, switch templates,
open and download plain .md files.
Private by construction
No account and no server copy: documents live in your browser, on the app's own address, where no other site or app can read them. Back up everything to one file.
Free
There is nothing to pay for: no hosted AI and no storage on our side. The AI runs on an account you already have.
Where the AI runs
Your computer, through PriorStates Hub
If you use Claude Code, Codex or the Gemini CLI, run PriorStates Hub on that computer, press Copy link, and paste it into Resume Writer's settings. Requests travel end-to-end encrypted through the Palmtop relay and are answered by your own subscription.
Your own Google AI Studio key
No computer needed. Get a free key at aistudio.google.com/apikey and paste it in. It stays in your browser, which talks to Google directly.
Either way, what goes to the AI is your document, your career facts and your request, and only to the AI you chose.
